Reflection:
The artifact links to the blog page setup purposely to evaluate and reflect on professional practices and course-related contents that were covered during the period of the Instructional Technology program. Topics reflected on during the period included the integration of Web 2.0 in teaching and learning, the use of blogs, evaluating students' blogs, the use of RSS, wikis, reflection on Flickr, Creative Commons, evaluation of Mixbook, Edmodo, the use of podcast, YouTube, evaluation of Jing, SlideShare, a blog on internet safety, diversity, equitable access, a reflection on the ITEC 7430 and 7400 courses, created a video as a skill, posted a presentation video, ITEC 7410 reflection, ITEC 7445 refection, and ITEC 7470 reflection.
Web 2.0
The blog evaluates the use of weblogs, RSS and social networks as teaching and learning tools. The blog considers internet access as fundamental for the integration of Web 2.0.

This is a reflection on what weblogs are and how it promotes collaboration.
Student Weblog Evaluation
This blog reflects on the suggestions made in the “Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts, and Other Powerful Web Tools for Classrooms” (Richardson, 2010), and in Jeff McClurken and Julie Meloni’s joint blog on classroom weblog evaluation.
RSS
A blog on professional practice. It discusses the use of RSS as a means of subscribing to educational newsletters and gives examples of some of the aggregators that can be used. At the time of the posting, Google Reader as an aggregator was still active.
Wikis
This evaluation considers wiki as a powerful tool for collective content creation and sharing for students, teachers, and parents associations.
Flickr
This evaluates the website Flickr.com as an instructional technology tool.
Creative Commons
This identifies creativecommons.org as a website that provides alternatives for students and teachers who want to use images and videos that are protected by the copyright regulations.
Mixbook
This blog is on the website mixbook.com. It finds the services of the website as suitable for students' projects on illustration and and publishing.
Edmodo
This reflects on the experience using Edmodo.
Podcast
It shows the importance of Portable On-Demand Broadcast in teaching and learning.
YouTube
This evaluates youtube.com and discusses how it can be used to promote teaching and learning.
Screencasting with Jing
An evaluation of Jing as one of a number of free screen recording software applications that teachers and students can use.
SlideShare
A reflection on the use of the services of slideshare.net in teaching and learning.
Internet Safety
A reflection on professional practice of ensuring students' protection as they use the internet.
Diversity, Cultural Understanding, and Global Awareness
This discusses the importance of creating harmony, promoting collaboration, and ensuring student engagement in the culturally diversified classroom.
Equitable Access
This suggests various ways that the digital divide can be bridged.
Beside the topics listed above, there were reflections at the end of each ITEC course. The Weebly blog ushered me into the world of blogging, but the context in which these blogs were created meant that audience only read and commented only for the grades. To benefit from the strengths that comments contribute to weblogs, it would have been ideal to post the blogs on time. This would be the advice for my students. Besides, comments that weblogs receive depends largely on the subject and the questions that the author poses.
