Welcome back, Subscription. I now know that subscribing to information online does not always have to be delivered into the email account. The RSS (Rich Site Summary) makes it possible for subscriptions to be delivered to a special location called aggregator where they can be read, file for later use or deleted if they are irrelevant. I now subscribe to RSS feeds from news and educational websites using Google Reader as my aggregator. Netvibes.com also offers me the opportunity to view all my subscriptions in a single window at a go.
My Google Reader is now filled with a number of subscriptions that are mostly educational in nature. Among these is the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce), an enlightenment organisation committed to finding innovative practical solutions to today's social challenges. Of particular interest to me is their Changing Education Paradigms video. The video is a visualization of Sir Ken Robinson's speech. I like it because of the drawing and the topic of the speech. But, how can the technology used be applicable in our classrooms? Share your views.
